LGBT+ people across Ireland deserve to live happy lives free from prejudice. For that to happen, we must all step up to help bring homophobia, biphobia and transphobia to an end.
If you’re not LGBT+ but want to support your family, friends, colleagues and neighbours who are, we ask that when you see homophobia, biphobia or transphobia, that you Call It Out, call it what it is and help those experiencing hatred to access support and protection. With the support of outspoken allies across Ireland, LGBT+ people can be themselves everywhere.
Not everyone will be subject to homophobia, biphobia or transphobia but letting it pass by unchallenged signals that it’s acceptable. Everyone can play a small part in making life in Ireland better for LGBT+ people.
If you’re LGBT+ and experience hate or harassment in your life, reach out to someone you trust. Whoever that person is, talk about your experience, and get help to access additional supports if that’s right for you. Talk about it and you will be supported.
